         Mountain Home Junior High School is located in beautiful Mountain Home, Arkansas.  Mountain Home has a population of approximately 11,000 people and is the county seat for Baxter County.  The town's population is deceiving; estimates show Mountain Home and surrounding areas in the county to have over 36,000 residents.

    • Computer lab with 25 Dell Multimedia computers with internet access.
    • Computer lab with 25 Microsoft Office Professional used for students and to train staff.

    • Media center equipped with 15 computers, each having multimedia capabilities and internet access.

    • Computer lab with 5 computers in both math and science departments.

    • Offices are connected with HP Office Professional.  School administration is connected to the Arkansas Public School Network (APSCN) & Internet.

    • District and building websites along with District-wide e-mail communications.

    • Two wireless internet labs available for check-out by classroom teachers.

     

Student Life

     We have a great student body at MHJH with 30% of our student body currently on the honor roll.
We have a 95% attendance rate.
We offer  Advanced Placement (AP) classes in both 8th and 9th grade
32% of our students receive free or reduced lunches
Only a small percentage requiring disciplinary action.
