NJROTC After School Schedule

&= nbsp; After school, NJROTC has physical training, drill, and advancement training. All three are important as cadets prepare for drill meets and the many color guards and events that they participate. The advancement = training prepares the cadets for the tests that they need to pass to advance in rank= . The schedule below may be modified= for any week to follow school schedules and events the unit may be involved. Typically, cadets are complete with practices and ready for parent pick-up at 4:15PM or 5:00PM following the schedule below.

Weekly Schedule

Monday – Physical Training (PT): 3:30PM to 4:15PM

Usually inc= ludes push-ups, curl-ups, and a one-mile run/walk. The physical training is designed = to meet and benefit the individual cadet regardless of present athletic abilit= y or current conditioning, and prepare them for the competitive events with other schools at drill meets.

Tuesday – Drill Practice: 3:30PM to 4:45PM

Armed and U= narmed Drill, including color guard, and training for special events. The armed drill practice includes = cadets performing choreographed movements with inert, non-firing, drill rifles; the unarmed drill practices train cadets to perform choreographed movements wit= hout drill rifles. Cadets usually = begin on the unarmed drill team and later may choose to join the armed drill team= ; or perform on both teams.

Wednesday - Physical Training (PT): 3:30PM to 4:15PM

Advancement Training: 4:15PM to 4:45PM

Thursday - Drill Pract= ice: 3:30PM to 4:45PM

Friday – No scheduled practices
