Mrs. Simons grew
up on the central coast of California and graduated from Atatscadero
High School in 1984. She worked in the banking industry for several years as a
Branch Service Manger prior to marrying and starting a family. Being an at home
mother to her two young sons was very important to Mrs. Simons. In 1998, Mrs.
Simons began working as a Para-Educator in an elementary school, assisting the
4th grade teachers in the classroom. She served on the School Site
Council and was an Art Docent to fourth grade students. In 2000, she moved into
the position of School Secretary. Mrs. Simons and her family moved to Mountain
Home, AR in 2003 and began working at Guy Berry Intermediate School in 2004 as
a secretary and library aid. In 2009, Mrs. Simons became a registrar (A-K)
assisting counselor, Mrs. Traylor, at Mountain Home High School.
Mrs. Simons has
been married to her husband, Bill, for 26 years and together they have two
sons, Brad and Jason Simons. Brad is currently a senior at Middle Tennessee
State University in Tennessee where he plays golf for the Men’s Golf team.
Jason is currently a freshman at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.
Mrs. Simons
enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching golf.
