| Plastic Bag Recycling Program For Schools Recycling Challenge September 1, 2007 - March 30, 2008 Clean up the environment and earn cash for our school! Guy Berry Intermediate School is participating in this great program sponsored by WAL-MART aimed at educating children on the importance of recycling and reducing household waste. We are encouraging students and their parents to join us and other schools by recycling unwanted plastic shopping and grocery bags. Just remove everything from the bags - including register receipts - and have your child bring them to school for deposit in the collection barrel. Our school will earn $5.00 cash for every collection bag we fill and take to our local WAL-MART. The American Plastics Council has developed entertaining and interactive lesson plans that teach students about the positive effect of recycling on our environment. Visit www.teachingplastics.org to learn more. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! |
