READING THROUGH THE SOLAR SYSTEM

Guy Berry students are reading their way through the solar system.  Our Accelerated Reading program has the students excited about reading and earning points on the books that they read.  There is a mural of the solar system on one of the walls in the cafeteria.  Each student is given a spaceship with his/her name on it.  All students begin his/her spaceship on the sun.  Then, as they read books and test over those books, they earn points and get to move their spaceships.  Each planet is assigned a certain number of points with a prize that goes along with each planet.  The planets, along with the points and prizes, are listed below.

Mercury - 20 Points
Pack for a quick, short trip!  Grab a bag and blast off.
Venus - 40 Points
